Joanne and Noah are in their champagne era in Nobody Wants This season 3 first look

The last time we binged them, Joanne (Kristen Bell) and Noah (Adam Brody) were having a hell of a time making their relationship work. Well fear not, Nobody Wants This heads, because that pain is in the past. Or, at least, that pain is not going to be especially present in the new season of the show, according to the first look Netflix offered at its return today. “After the ups and downs of Noah and Joanne in Season 2, it was really important to us to be like, ‘Let’s let them have their moment now of settling in and having fun,'” says co-showrunner Bruce Eric Kaplan in today’s press release. Or, in the words of other co-showrunner Jenni Konner, “This season feels like champagne.” 

However, it sounds like Joanne and Noah will be getting most of the champagne feelings this time around. As Sasha (Timothy Simons) and Esther (Jackie Tohn) broke up last season, they’re adjusting to being single, to mixed results. “We talked a lot about this idea that sometimes the person who wants the breakup is the person that ends up having a harder time being single. Meanwhile, Sasha starts to gain momentum and have fun experiences. He realizes there’s more out there than his wife,” says series creator Erin Foster. And yes, she means Justine Lupe’s Morgan. 

Season three of Nobody Wants This will debut on Netflix on October 22. Check out some first look images from the season below.
