Now That's What I Call Pelicula!

For years now, thanks to the tirelessly terrible efforts of Friedberg & Seltzer and various and sundry Wayans, America has had the monopoly on Pop Culture Reference Loops Filled With Groans, or "spoof movies." Obviously, this was very selfish of us. Why should America keep Friedberg & Seltzer's patented fart-writing technology to itself? We should share it with the rest of the world. We should help the rest of the world to groan in their own languages!
Apparently, the great humanitarians at Fox thought so as well, which is why they opened La Universidad De Escribar-Pfffft late last year in Madrid. La Universidad wasn't an actual university, just a table in the corner of the cafe in the basement of the El Corte Ingles department store, but the lesson taught there (and there was only one lesson) was a valuable one: "Smoosh together a bunch of lazy pop culture and movie references. These are jokes. Now you have a movie. Go sell it."
