Come sail away with the One Piece season 2 trailer

Netflix is staying the course with its massively popular and ambitious adaptation of the endless manga and anime series, One Piece, even if it’s doing so at a leisurely pace. The streamer is still on the Stranger Things schedule with One Piece, taking years-long breaks between adventures. Arriving two-and-a-half years after season one, Netflix has finally unveiled where Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) will search for the One Piece next. The answer: He’s going Into The Grand Line, according to the second season’s subtitle.

Arriving on March 10, season two of One Piece will send Luffy to the Grand Line, where he’ll face a new army of foes, including Miss All-Sunday (Lera Abova) and the Baroque Works’ assassin Mr. 3 (David Dastmalchian), and meet some new possible allies, including the adorable Tony Tony Chopper (voiced by Mikaela Hoover). Along with the trailer, Netflix sent a note from series creator Eiichiro Oda. “We bring you Season 2, which will head into the Grand Line, the most formidable sea in the world,” Oda writes. “In other words, all the conventions that were established in season 1 will be shattered. A parade of Devil Fruit users, a race of giants never before seen, adorable creatures, hard-hitting action, and stunning VFX—this season is packed with even more highlights. Let yourself be drawn into an immersive experience that’s unique to live action.”

“May this show reach every adventurous spirit across the world,” he continues. “One month until we set sail. Get ready!!”
