Oprah loved Brie Larson's French tuck and Tan France is a legend now

Fashion changes so frequently, it’s hard to keep up. But Tan France has introduced the world to the French tuck, giving the laypeople of the earth something to be forever grateful for. Especially now that it’s officially been christened by Oprah Winfrey herself, all thanks to Brie Larson.

Larson appeared at the 10th annual Women in the World Summit in New York on Wednesday to speak on a Q&A fittingly titled “The Superhero We Deserve.” She found her way to what looks like Oprah Winfrey’s dressing room, as one would and should if given the chance. Winfrey was the keynote speaker that night, and also just so happened to love Larson’s outfit.

Their meeting was captured in a video posted to Larson’s Instagram, which begins with Oprah and BFF Gayle King admiring Larson’s boots. As Larson starts to walk away, bidding her a wonderful talk, Winfrey remarked that she loved the “half-in, half-out tuck thing too.” This is where the video gets better.

Larson exclaims that she learned it from France on Queer Eye and everyone just erupts. Winfrey gets a closer look, Larson does a little spin for her to examine better, and, just like that, Tan from Queer Eye is cemented in history as introducing one of the biggest actors in the world to the French tuck, and by extension, Oprah herself.

Winfrey tells her she’s “never seen it look this good” and to hear that? From Oprah? Larson is properly fangirling at this point. All composure, gone. As for Mr. France? Honestly, same.

He reposted Larson’s video with a caption you can literally hear from your phone screen, writing, “Now THIS is the best way to start the fucking day!” He of course shoots his shot, putting the ball in Oprah’s court for a France-assisted tuck. In an accompanying Instagram story, he, like any of is would, celebrated King’s proclamation: “Yes, we know Tan.” Who knew a simple half-shirt tuck meant to spruce up an outfit could be such a revolutionary conversation starter. Tan-fricken’-France, that’s who.

And with Brie Larson’s adorable “Okay bye,” at the end, it truly was a beautiful crossing over of pop culture entities.
