Before Owen Pallett came to prominence with Final Fantasy—and just as he was beginning to collaborate with Arcade Fire—he worked under the name Les Mouches along with bandmates Robbie Gordon and Matt Smith. Though Les Mouches has remained a footnote in Pallett’s career, Orchid Tapes has taken to remedying that with a reissue of 2004’s You’re Worth More To Me Than 1,000 Christians. The A.V. Club is streaming “Cities Are Less Important” in advance of the album’s reissue on July 28. The track sees Pallett’s vision already formed, the only thing differentiating it from his future endeavors being the name under which it was released.
