Pile announces tour in support of its new album, A Hairshirt Of Purpose
Last week Boston’s Pile announced its fifth album, A Hairshirt Of Purpose, a record that The A.V. Club has already declared one of our most anticipated records of the year. The band has since released “Texas,” the first track from Hairshirt that sees Rick Maguire and company offering up a knotty, off-kilter update to the post-hardcore attacks found on 2015’s You’re Better Than This. Today, Pile announced a spring tour that will take it across the U.S. in support of Hairshirt, with the dynamic two-piece Gnarwhal along for the ride. For those that can’t wait until April to see the band, Pile’s set at Chicago’s Lincoln Hall can be found here, featuring a smattering of new songs throughout.
