Press any key to enjoy this 16-bit tribute to King-Sized Homer
Homer Simpson has taken on many forms over the years, but perhaps none are as memorable as King-Size Homer, who, after ballooning to more than 300 pounds to get on disability, begins donning a muumuu and “fat guy hat.” Countless fans would cite it as a favorite episode, including Mauri Helme, a creator of mobile games who made a 16-bit tribute to the story of Homer and his weight-gain journey.
In it, Homer soars over Springfield, gobbling up pink, frosted donuts while dodging Simpsons’ staples like the Duff blimp, a tire fire, a flying pig, and even a magical box of Mr. Sparkle.
Helme’s only misstep? Not calling it “A Fridge Too Far.”
