What’s really keeping the clouds away? Is it sunny days or something more…sinister? The short skit “Good Morning” bills itself as The Muppets meets The Wire, and while it never reaches David Simon levels of Baltimorean despair, it does a good job of contrasting the cheery sing-a-long world of puppetry with the grim realities of modern police procedurals. Created by Effinfunny, the episode is presumably sponsored by the number 5 and the RICO Act. Hopefully this leads to more crossover videos between HBO dramas and kids’ television. It’s high time we saw how well the Teletubbies would survive in Deadwood.
