Put on your topsiders, there might be a new Vampire Weekend album in the works
In times of unrest, some people take comfort in the notion that, if nothing else, some great art will arise from the potential devastation. That’s probably not what we’re going to get from a fourth Vampire Weekend album, but at least there’s probably going to be some alliteration. The newly-minted trio—Rostam Batmanglij reduced its numbers when he left the group early this year—is rumored to be signing a deal with Columbia Records that would include the album frontman Ezra Koenig previously teased as Mitsubishi Macchiato for “obvious reasons.” (Those reasons presumably being that the two items are on the shopping lists for the band members and their fans.)
