Quiet Riot singer found dead in Vegas

Kevin Dubrow, lead screamer for 1980s metal act Quiet Riot, was found dead Sunday in a Las Vegas home. There was no sign of forced entry and police are waiting for autopsy and toxicology results before declaring a cause of death. Meanwhile, in a post to a memorial website honoring founding Quiet Riot member Randy Rhoads, bassist Kelly Garni tried to stave off rumors with the following statement:

"I ask that no one here offer any speculation or opinions, theories or other things that could be construed as negative or, and I'm sorry for this, even sympathetic, right at this immediate time. I am already, within hours of this, having to deal with untrue rumors and speculation and that only adds fuel to that. There is a tendency for the subject of Kevin to incite flames on every board, and now is not the time for that."

Quiet Riot is still best known for their cover of Slade's "Cum On Feel The Noize," a single from the 1983's Metal Health, which has the distinction of being the first ever #1 album by a metal band on the Billboard Hot 100.
