Regular Netflix service to resume today?
The Associated Press is reporting that Netflix.com could be resuming normal operations today, after unspecified problems rendered the popular DVD-rental service mostly unable to ship the discs to customers. Somewhere, Blockbuster executives are psyched.
Netflix has only told customers it's "been experiencing issues with our shipping system," according to a note on the site, and promising to credit subscriber accounts for the outage. Company spokesman Steve Swasey declined to elaborate, telling the AP "We're not real big on pointing fingers or attaching blame or airing this out in public." He then reminded the AP reporter that he's a human being, not a human doing. (Not really.)
Is it mere coincidence that the current No. 1 film on Netflix's Top 100 is Crash?
