As previously reported, this year’s Sundance Film Festival will see the world premiere of Life In A Day, the film produced by Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Productions and overseen by director Kevin MacDonald (State Of Play, The Last King Of Scotland), who combed through 4,500 hours of footage submitted by YouTube users from 192 countries, all as a large-scale experiment in “social filmmaking.” According to its press release, the completed film compiles stories spanning the globe from Ukraine to Indonesia and features a wide variety of life experiences—from a Korean man who’s been cycling the world for 9 years to a young mother battling cancer—all of which took place during the course of one day, specifically July 24, 2010.
