As if his love of the kitschy/sleazy/exploitative weren't already beyond question, Robert Rodriguez is slated to prove it hardcore with a remake of 1968's Barbarella, which originally starred Jane Fonda as a sexed-up astronaut in a (deliciously, of course) depraved future. Some handy B-movie quotables to help you prepare: "De-crucify him or I'll melt your face!" "To the Mathmos with this winged fruitcake!" Anyway, the remake is due out in 2008. (Variety)
