Technically, we’ve all had the power to make our own dancing baby Groots this entire time. But not everyone is crafty, and those Movin’ & Groovin’ Dancing Flowers are becoming increasingly difficult to find, probably because they’ve already been turned into dancing baby Groots. That kind of unfilled niche gets Marvel’s marketing sense tingling, so now the company has announced plans to release an officially licensed version of the adorable little guy, complete with a built-in speaker that plays The Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back.”
The company says the baby Groots will retail for $14.99 and will hit stores in December, just in time for fist-fight season at your local Toys R’ Us. Let Groot dance in the winter solstice. Throw out your Christmas tree and decorate him instead. Get eight of him for Hanukkah. Paint his pot red, black, and green and put him on the table for Kwanzaa. Give him to your servants on Boxing Day. Go nuts.
