Seth Meyers is developing multiple comedies about has-beens for NBC
Seth Meyers is finally starting to gain traction as a late-night host, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t kept other irons in the fire. Meyers is one of the creative forces behind IFC’s Documentary Now!, which just kicked off a second hilarious season. But he’s sticking with his home base of NBC for his latest ventures—Variety reports that Meyers is developing two new comedies for the network about various washouts. First up is an untitled single-camera comedy about a set of has-been singing siblings, who, once their Partridge Family-like days are over, resort to writing jingles and performing at parties. Late Night staffer Amber Ruffin is writing the series, which she’ll executive produce with Meyers.
