Seth Meyers developing a new NBC workplace sitcom

Seth Meyers still has two more years left on his current late-night contract, but he’s already looking to diversify his portfolio. Deadline reports that the Late Night With Seth Meyers host is working on a new half-hour workplace comedy for NBC called The Game Room. The show’s premise is unknown, but Meyers and producer Michael Shoemaker will develop it under their aptly titled production company, Sethmaker Shoemeyers, which they founded in 2017. To date, the banner has produced Late Night With Seth Meyers and A.P. Bio, among other shows. Michael Colton and John Aboud, who created the ABC sitcom Home Economics, are on board as writers, co-showrunners, and executive producers of The Game Room. Meyers, Shoemaker, and Jason Carden will also serve as executive producers.
