On The Late Show last night, Stephen Colbert found an easy way to describe Donald Trump’s bananas press conference. Without saying so in as many words, Colbert compared the event to a fragrant heap of shit. ”We’re recording this in the early afternoon, it literally just finished,” Colbert said on The Late Show. “What I’m saying is this is fresh. It must be fresh because you can smell it. This press conference it’s still steaming. You can warm your hands over this pile.”
Colbert then meticulously combed through some of the conference’s most ludicrous moments. Regarding Trump’s inaccurate boast that he had the most electoral college votes since Reagan, Colbert said: “Wait a second, do you think 306 is larger than 365? Wow, Betsy DeVos works quick.“ The host also tackled Trump’s assertion that ”nuclear holocaust would be like no other” and the moment the president revealed that he essentially thinks all black people are friends with one another.
