Summer Camp goes behind the scenes in the “Bad Love” video
On its third album, Bad Love, the London-based duo Summer Camp gives itself all the more to the throes of electro-pop. On May 26 Moshi Moshi Records will release Bad Love, and The A.V. Club is premiering the video for the album’s title track in advance of its release. Directed by Luke Snellin, the video for “Bad Love” peels back the curtain of a fictional, Scream-like horror film where the group’s Elizabeth Sankey and Jeremy Warmsley are found engaged in a hot-and-cold acting relationship. It’s a campy romp that reflects Summer Camp’s throwback sound, turning laments of a bad relationship into something far more upbeat than it has any right to be.
