Take an adorable kitten break with the trailer for Kedi on YouTube Red
Yes, the price of liberty is eternal vigilance. But damn it, sometimes you need to take a break from being anxious and angry about the state of the world. Enter this trailer for the streaming debut of Kedi, a documentary about the street cats of Istanbul that premiered earlier this year. In his review, The A.V. Club’s Mike D’Angelo said that the film is “more than just a very professionally shot series of cute cat videos on YouTube,” exploring the city and the people who live there through profiles of cats and their distinct personalities. D’Angelo adds that the human element often takes a backseat to just watching adorable kitties doing stuff, but honestly even that sounds therapeutic right about now.
Kedi—which is still playing at theaters around the U.S., and will expand internationally soon—premieres on YouTube Red on May 10.
