Ted Leo announces new tour and album dates
His Kickstarter campaign having been fully funded, Ted Leo’s moving forward with the release of his new album. When the erstwhile Pharmacists frontman talked with The A.V. Club about the crowdfunding campaign earlier this year, he explained why he went the self-release route for his 13th full-length album, which also happens to be the first under his name (no “ands” or “boths” here). Titled The Hanged Man (after the chipper-looking guy in the tarot deck), the album might be his most DIY effort ever—Leo recorded the tracks in his own studio, and played practically every instrument. The first song off the album, “You’re Like Me,” is a rousing tune, and confirmation that Leo hasn’t stretched himself too thin here.
