Scandal (ABC, 9 p.m.): A show as twisty and twisted as Scandal shouldn’t celebrate a TV milestone in a traditional manner. Instead, Shonda Rhimes’ political thriller marks the occasion by returning to Olivia, Mellie, and Cyrus’ decision to rig the presidential election in Fitz’s favor, depicting what might have happened if they backed out. Ashley Ray-Harris is on board to ask her own series of “what ifs” in her review of the 100th episode.

Sun Records (CMT, 10 p.m.): On December 4, 1956, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins all wound up at Memphis’ Sun Studio together, jamming on a handful of gospel and country standards (and a couple of Chuck Berry tunes). The informal sessions begat an album, Million Dollar Quartet, which begat a stage show of the same name, which begat this CMT drama. The show hasn’t quite reached that legendary rock ’n’ roll moment—but if you want to see a former WB heartthrob and Mike from Mike & Molly haggle over Elvis’ future, tune in to the first-season finale, in which tensions between Sam Phillips (Chad Michael Murray) and Colonel Tom Parker (Billy Gardell) come to a head.
