Let's find out how weird techbros can be in this exclusive teaser for AMC's The Audacity

Jonathan Glatzer knows from deranged rich folk: As a long-time producer and writer on shows like Succession and Better Call Saul, Glatzer has helped make some of TV’s best series about the deranging effects that money can have on the human brain. Now, Glatzer has created his own show for AMC and AMC+, The Audacity, that explores just how bad reality-distorting amounts of cash can be for the techbro mindset, specifically—and we’ve got an exclusive look at the teaser for the new series.

In it, we get lots of looks at Hypergnosis CEO Duncan Park, played by the ever-game Billy Magnussen. (Who, between this and Made For Love, has really carved out a niche for himself as TV’s go-to guy for a very specifically Silicon Valley brand of fragile male confidence.) Sure, Duncan asserts to the viewer that he’s “The Man”—but that’s right before Zach Galifianakis shows up as Carl, a “former idealist pioneer of Silicon Valley,” who declares that Duncan’s not a unicorn—just “a jackass with a dildo taped to his head.”

The rest of the teaser mostly serves as a whirlwind introduction to the rest of the show’s cast, in various states of distress and/or pointing a gun at somebody, including Sarah Goldberg as a poorly paid therapist tasked with keeping tech “geniuses” from completely spinning out, plus Lucy Punch, Simon Helberg, Rob Corddry, Meaghan Rath, Paul Adelstein, Everett Blunck, Thailey Roberge, and Ava Marie Telek. The Audacity is being showrun by Glatzer, alongside fellow executive producer Gina Mingacci; the series debuts on AMC and AMC+ on Sunday, April 12 at 9 p.m.
