Peachfuzz expands his gnarly canon in The Creep Tapes season three trailer
The Mark Duplass-starring Shudder anthology series returns on September 15.
Horror movie franchises making a successful leap to television is a wonderful, welcome phenomenon. It’s the routine of pursuit, capture, and calamity that makes slashers and monsters fit so well into episodic TV, but as examples such as Ash Vs. Evil Dead, Chucky, and Hannibal have proven, personality goes a long way, too. That’s why The Creep Tapes is one of horror’s most successful franchise expansions: Mark Duplass’s Peachfuzz killer is a compelling, friendly, eerily seductive fiend whose methods of mayhem—taping and then archiving the slaughter of his victims, who are lured into his traps by charisma or tyranny of will—make for a structurally sound horror anthology.
