The Dismemberment Plan to reissue Change

When The Dismemberment Plan released Change in 2001, the band appeared markedly different than the spastically energetic D-Plan of old. Gone were much of its avant-garde leanings, replaced with the somber sounds of a band growing older and settling into a new phase of its existence. Then Change turned out to be The Dismemberment Plan’s final album before going on a lengthy break in 2003.

Now, on November 4, Partisan Records will release Change on vinyl for the very first time. The LP will come packaged with a 12-page booklet featuring photos, art, and complete album lyrics. (The CD version omitted the lyrics to album-closer “Ellen And Ben.”) Pre-orders for the reissue of Change can be found via Partisan, and the reactivated Dismemberment Plan–who played this year’s A.V. Fest–have a smattering of shows booked through the end of the year in support of this year’s Uncanney Valley.
