The Force Awakens in 3 minutes, told almost entirely with emoji

Haven’t seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens yet, even though it’s been out for almost five months and is now available in every current home-viewing format? Don’t even have time to read a plot summary and deal with all those bothersome words? Not a problem at all. On its official YouTube account, Disney has posted an all-emoji remake of the film, almost entirely devoid of verbiage and lasting only a little over three minutes. If someone were texting from inside the theater, trying to spoil every possible plot detail for an absent friend, this is how it might turn out. Actually, Disney’s emoji-make is a pretty elaborate affair, with tiny pictographs of Daisy Ridley, Harrison Ford, Adam Driver, and other Force Awakens cast members bouncing around on the screen, leaping from smartphones to tablets as the story progresses.
