The full trailer for Lifetime’s A Deadly Adoption cranks up the melodrama in the best way

At this point, we’ve seen enough of A Deadly Adoption—the Lifetime movie starring Will Ferrell and Kirsten Wiig—to finally feel comfortable admitting that it’s a real thing that is really happening. Now we’re free to let ourselves get hyped over what could be the best made-for-TV movie in the history of making movies for TV—hype that comes from the perfect tone of this ridiculously dramatic full trailer. We see Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig as a happy couple taking care of a younger pregnant woman (Jessica Lowndes), we see Ferrell letting his eyes wander a little too much, we see Lowndes revealing her scary side, a tattooed bad boy, and then we find out how deadly this adoption really is. Also, it’s all set to a dramatic cover of Mike & The Mechanics’ “Silent Running,” which is a song that makes any trailer better. That’s a fact.

A Deadly Adoption will hit Lifetime on June 20.
