The Libertines—the British band that Pete Doherty played in when he wasn’t busy doing drugs—are reuniting. The British group announced a number of upcoming tour dates, all of which are, of course, in Europe. The tour stops are listed below. Fans probably shouldn’t expect too much in the way of a live show, seeing as how just a few months ago, Doherty said that if the band members got back together, they’d be doing it entirely for the money. Though that’s not unusual for The Libertines, who never really seemed to be in it for the art, anyway.
Doherty has also suggested the group might be releasing a new album. According to Kate Moss’ pasty ex, the band could “finish off all those ideas that we never completed back in the day, all those songs we never played for anyone else that have been floating around in the ether.” Doherty also argues that The Libertines are “still relevant” and that “there’s still a lot we have to say.”
