Hayley Atwell didn't appreciate being "frisbeed to death" in Multiverse Of Madness
Atwell briefly appeared as Captain Peggy Carter in the Doctor Strange sequel, where she met the same fate as many other MCU refugees.

One of the most memorable sequences—if not the only memorable sequence—in 2023’s Doctor Strange And The Multiverse Of Madness was watching several long-awaited MCU characters arrive and immediately get mowed down. Sure, while the fan-casted John Krasinski appears as Reed Richards and gets turned into a pool noodle, at least fans got to see Patrick Stewart ride around in Professor X’s yellow hoverchair before Scarlet Witch pops his brain like a grape. But while the scene provided Sam Raimi with a chance to indulge his sick sense of humor, not everyone was in on the joke. Case in point: Hayley Atwell, who starred as Agent Peggy Carter in Captain America: The First Avenger and the beloved, short-lived ABC series Agent Carter. After being written out of Marvel’s grand post-Endgame scheme, Atwell was understandably not psyched that her reappearance in the series, following the now-retconned capper, saw Carter reduced to some “lame” goof. More specifically, she was “so disappointed” about being “frisbeed to death.”
