The jocks join the marines in first teaser for The Mosquito Bowl

Before there was Pat Tillman, there were the boys of The Mosquito Bowl. Okay, those stories probably don’t have that much in common outside of the fact that sometimes football players join the military. This was true at least as far back as World War II, when college football stars—played in a new Netflix movie by Nicholas Galitzine, Bill Skarsgård, Ray Nicholson, Tom Francis—enlisted in the war against fascism. The new teaser for Netflix’s movie doesn’t get much into the specifics of what’s going on other than the fraternal connection between the men both on the football field and the battlefield.
