The Muppets’ Dr. Teeth gets down with ODB’s “Shimmy Shimmy Ya”

There appears to be a new subgenre in viral videos—mashing up harder-edged ’90s rap with the cuddly imagery of Jim Henson’s The Muppets. There have been videos of mash-ups featuring the Beastie Boys, Biz Markie, Notorious B.I.G., and Big Pun. Now the creator of the Beastie Boys and Biz Markie Muppet mashups, Adam Schleichkorn, has returned to the form he helped birth with his latest video.

Dr. Teeth subs in perfectly for Ol’ Dirty Bastard in this mashup of “Shimmy Shimmy Ya.” Clearly Dr. Teeth has swagger for days and is just the outrageous personality that can do justice to the legacy of Big Baby Jesus. Finally, a video that confirms that the leader of the Electric Mayhem band does, indeed, like it raw.
