The “Rogue Edition” of X-Men: Days Of Future Past will be released next year
In the latest installment of the X-Men film franchise, Bryan Singer tackled one of the comics’ most beloved storylines—the time-traveling, X-Men exterminating Days Of Future Past. The resulting film saw Singer and screenwriter Simon Kinberg construct a complex web of time jumps and subplots, so by the time X-Men: Days Of Future Past reached theaters certain scenes were cut for the sake of brevity. According to Kinberg, that’s why Anna Paquin’s Rogue was found solely in a glorified cameo, cutting her ten-minute subplot down to a just a few seconds during the film’s final act. In an attempt to rectify the loss of both Paquin and her character in the film, the “Rogue Edition” of X-Men: Days Of Future Past will be released via home video platforms in early 2015.
