The Thor sequel now has Lost's Mr. Eko
Variety reports that Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje—best known for playing Adebsei on Oz and Mr. Eko on Lost—has been cast in Thor: The Dark World, probably because it was so much fun watching all those idiots pissing and moaning about how political correctness was ruining the ethnic purity of Norse mythology when it was announced that Idris Elba would be in the first movie. Akinnuoye-Agabje will play Dark Elf Algrim the Strong, assistant villain to the Dark Elf ruler, Melekith the Accursed, who will be played by former Doctor Who star Christopher Eccleston. Both characters were created by Walter Simonson during his run on the Marvel comic book in the 1980s, a period near and dear to the hearts of those who prefer their Norse mythology filtered through the House of Ideas.
