Sweet relief for the Princess of Pop has arrived in the form of Israeli artist Gal Volinez, who took a break from making bizarre, intimate, and very naked performance pieces to film a tribute to his musical idol. Adopting the nom de Internet Volinez Spears, Volinez learned the choreography for Spears’ “Work Bitch” video, filmed himself performing it in what looks like his apartment, and digitally inserted himself in the video in Brit Brit’s place. The result is Internet catnip, and “Hi Brit” has racked up over a million views in a week. All Chris Crocker did was cry and he was on Maury, so expect to see Volinez headlining Madison Square Garden by the end of the year.
