Tom Hanks has another son and he is a rapper

Chet Haze describes himself as “an up and coming MC… Born and raised on the West Side of the Westside's main city LA”—specifically on the mean streets right outside Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson’s house, as “Chet Haze” is actually Chester “Chet” Hanks, Tom Hanks’ other, non-TV-and-movie-star son who’s making a bid to follow in his father’s Dragnet-era footsteps by becoming a rapper. In between days spent “living the college life” at Northwestern University—including “chilling with his boys, attending class, and taking care of business,” whatever business that may be—Hanks’ “nights consist of absolutely murdering tracks, and living what he is really spitting.”

So how exactly is Chet Haze living and thus spitting? According to his debut single, “White And Purple (Northwestern Remix),” just your basic collegiate existence of “hittin’ blunts after hittin’ books,” interrupted by scenarios like the following: “I got a call from the brothers in the frat house/ I'm with my girl, tryin to get up under that blouse/ She a freshman/ She a freak though/ In the bed, but a lady in the street, yo." Did you maybe try explaining to her that you’re Tom Hanks’ son, or that guy who played “Student In Library” in Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, or “Dexter” in 2007’s Bratz movie? That might ease your blouse entry, is all we’re saying.

Anyway, Usher’s “lady in the street / freak in the bed” dichotomy and the reflected glory of his parents aren’t the only things on loan here: “White And Purple” is both a Northwestern University-themed remix of Wiz Khalifa’s “Black And Yellow” and, as pointed out by a Gawker commenter, a complete rip-off of his fellow alum Mo Greene’s “White And Purple (NU Anthem 2010),” which was uploaded months ago. But Mo Greene, as far as we know, is not Tom Hanks’ son—or, as Haze puts it on his Twitter page, “Other MC's are just to [sic] amateur, so I damage em in the booth with my homies and my manager.”
