Top Chef's Radhika + charity = Deliciousness for a good cause
Viewers of this season’s Top Chef will remember Radhika, the talented Chicago-based contestant of Indian descent who had a shot at going deep into the competition, only to be tripped up by working front-of-the-house in the “Restaurant Wars” episode. It was a shame that she didn’t get judged, in the end, on her cooking, which showed consistent promise, but now some lucky person and five guests can get a chance to know what redemption tastes like. Literally.
To benefit Rock For Kids, an A.V. Club-approved charity that reaches out to underserved children and teens, Chef Radhika has offered to auction off her services on eBay. Currently a chef at Between Café and Lounge in Chicago, Radhika will prepare a four-course meal at the winner’s home, offer the party a dessert cooking lesson, and leave aprons for all the guests. Her restaurant’s wine distributor will also provide appropriate pairings and a sommelier.
Ladies and gentlemen, start your bidding.
