Throwing a good party is difficult. Throwing a party while a random elderly woman off the street becomes convinced that she lives in your house is even harder. Add a Pedro Pascal who’s “famous for ripping apart relationships and [leaving] everyone in tatters” and you’ve got a difficult night for hosts Walton Goggins and Elisabeth Reaser.

This is the premise set up in the first trailer for The Uninvited, a new comedy that played at last year’s SXSW festival. Nadia Conners wrote and directed the film and makes her narrative debut with the project, per IndieWire. The official synopsis for The  Uninvited reads: “Rose (Reaser) and her agent husband Sammy (Goggins) host a glamorous dinner to impress their big-shot client Gerald (Rufus Sewell), but the night derails when an elderly stranger (Lois Smith) and Rose’s ex, Hollywood charmer Lucien (Pascal), crash the scene. As drinks flow and secrets spill, ambition and identity clash in a sharp, unhinged look at a world obsessed with youth and fame.”

Goggins, of course, currently stars in the third season of The White Lotus, and Pascal is soon to return to HBO for the second season of The Last Of Us. Reaser’s recent credits include American Crime Story: Impeachment and The Handmaid’s Tale, and Sewell currently stars in Netflix’s The Diplomat. Smith needs little introduction, having appeared in a wide swath of film for nearly 70 years including East Of Eden, Fried Green Tomatoes, Twister, and Lady Bird. The Uninvited will open at New York’s IFC Center on April 11, at Los Angeles’ Laemmle on April 18, and in the U.K. on May 9.
