We know nothing about Marvel's The Eternals, but at least the cast still looks good
Marvel’s post-Endgame future is still looking extremely weird, mostly because the studio insists on pretending that we don’t all know that everyone who died in Infinity War will come back to life somehow, so that means The Eternals is really the only big Marvel movie we have on the horizon—and we still don’t know anything about it. The Eternals aren’t really a thing in modern Marvel comics, as they were mainly used for weird Jack Kirby space stuff back in the day, so it’s unusual for Marvel to assume that the millions of people who go see these MCU movies are ready for something that may or may not have any concrete connection to the previous decade of adventures.
But hey, that’s Marvel’s problem to solve, and while we wait for someone to actually explain to us what the Eternals movie will be about, we can at least take some comfort in the knowledge that it’s cast will be really good. We previously reported that Angelina Jolie and Kumail Nanjiani were set to appear in director Chloé Zhao’s movie, and now The Wrap says they’ll be joined by South Korean actor Ma Dong-seok. This will be his American film debut, but horror fans may already know him from his memorable appearance in smash-hit zombie movie Train To Busan. The Wrap says everything about his role is “being kept under wraps,” but it’s not like we could tell you much about the movie even if we had his name (assuming it’s not something like Thanos Jr.).
