Although we reported last week that The Hangover debuted at No. 2 behind Up, the final numbers that came in Monday afternoon showed that the raunchy dude-comedy actually took the top spot. That success continued this weekend, its second at No. 1: The Hangover dropped a mere 25 percent to a still-robust $33.42 million—setting it on track to become one of the top-grossing R-rated comedies of all time. Up also held up well, holding steady at No. 2 in its third week with $30.52 million.

This week’s two major new releases made minor ripples in the top 10: The Taking Of Pelham 1 2 3 had a decent No. 3 opening with $25 million, while the Eddie Murphy family comedy Imagine That turned in one of the year’s weakest openings, landing at No. 6 with $5.7 million. (For comparison, that’s less than My Life In Ruins pulled in its first frame last week.)

The rest of the top 10 held up well, with only one film dropping more than 50 percent from last week (Land Of The Lost, which fell to No. 5 with $9.15 million). Night At The Museum: Battle Of The Smithsonian held at No. 4 with $9.6 million; Star Trek had one of the smallest drops in the top 10, falling just 33 percent to No. 7 with $5.6 million in its sixth frame; Terminator Salvation took No. 8 with $4.69 million, ahead of Angels And Demons at No. 9 with $4.2 million. Drag Me To Hell rounded things out at No. 10 with $3.86 million.
