New this week
The ’Burbs (Peacock+, Sunday, 12 a.m., series premiere)
Keke Palmer and Jack Whitehall lead this Peacock thriller, a spin on the ’80s dark-comedy classic, as a couple whose quaint suburban life is upended with the arrival of a creepy next-door neighbor (played by Justin Kirk). Paula Pell, Julia Duffy, Mark Proksch, Kapil Talwalkar, and Haley Joel Osment round out the cast. Read The A.V. Club’s review.
Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette (FX and Hulu, Thursday, 9 p.m., series premiere)
Ryan Murphy & co. tackle the highly publicized courtship and tragedy-stricken marriage of American golden boy John F. Kennedy Jr. and fashion publicist Carolyn Bessette (Paul Kelly and Sarah Pidgeon, respectively). As is the case with most Murphy properties, the limited series is a starry affair, with Naomi Watts as Jackie O, Alessandro Nivola as Calvin Klein, Grace Gummer as Caroline Kennedy, and Dree Hemingway as Daryl Hannah. Look for The A.V. Club’s review on Thursday.
