Welcome to What’s On, our weekly roundup of notable shows. Here is what’s happening on TV from Sunday, January 18 to Saturday, January 24. All times are Eastern.
New this week
A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms (HBO, Sunday, 10 p.m., series premiere)
We’re back in Westeros, folks: HBO’s latest George R. R. Martin adaptation picks up nearly a century before Game Of Thrones and, across six episodes, follows the fantastical buddy-comedy adventures of Ser Duncan The Tall (Peter Claffey)—or Dunk, our lofty titular hedge knight—and his diminutive squire Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell). The A.V. Club will recap the show weekly.
Steal (Prime Video, Wednesday, 3 a.m., series premiere)
Speaking of Thrones, series alum Sophie Turner leads this six-episode heist thriller for Prime Video, playing an office worker at a pension-fund investment company who gets caught up in the largest armed robbery in British history. Archie Madekwe (Saltburn) and Jacob Fortune-Lloyd (Bodies) also star.
The Beauty (FX, Wednesday, 9 p.m., series premiere)
