The biggies

It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia (FX, Wednesday, 9 p.m.)

TV’s longest-running live-action sitcom returns for season 17 to paint the full picture of what Glenn Howerton’s Dennis was up to during the Abbott Elementary crossover from earlier this year. In the eight new episodes, the gang also welcomes Cricket (David Hornsby) back and attempts to make a deal with the Saudis. The A.V. Club will recap the premiere, midseason half-hour, and the finale.

Too Much (Netflix, Thursday, 3:01 a.m.)

Hacks scene-stealer Meg Stalter leads this new rom-com from Lena Dunham. In Too Much, she plays a woman who, after a devastating breakup, moves to London for a fresh start and forms an unexpected connection with a musician (played by The White Lotus‘ Will Sharpe). The A.V. Club‘s review will be up on Thursday.

Dexter: Resurrection (Paramount+, Friday, 3:01 a.m.)

There’s no stopping serial killer Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall), who somehow survived a gunshot wound from his son. Having woken up from a coma, he looks for his offspring to reconcile with past sins, while a Miami P.D. officer hunts him down. The guest star lineup includes Peter Dinklage, Krysten Ritter, David Dastmalchian, and Uma Thurman. Look for The A.V. Club‘s review on Monday.

Titus Welliver reprises his role as Harry Bosch for a few installments. The A.V. Club‘s review publishes on Tuesday.

Building The Band (Netflix, Wednesday, 3:01 a.m.)
