The Beast In Me (Netflix, Thursday, 3:01 a.m.)
In this thriller from creator Gabe Rotter (X-Files) and showrunner Howard Gordon (Homeland), Claire Danes stars as a reclusive author grieving her child. She finds a new subject in a real estate mogul (played by Matthew Rhys) accused of killing his missing wife. As she peers into his life, the two engage in a cat-and-mouse chase that quickly turns deadly. The ensemble includes Brittany Snow, Natalie Morales, Jonathan Banks, and David Lyons. Look for The A.V. Malice (Prime Video, Friday, 3:01 a.m.)
British psychological mystery Malice centers on Adam Healey (Jack Whitehall), who infiltrates a wealthy family’s vacation in Greece and later gets hired as their nanny in London. Of course, Adam has ulterior motives and his only goal is to destroy the Tanner clan, led by Jamie (David Duchovny) and Nat (Carice Van Houten). The A.V. Club‘s review will be up on Friday.
