Will Ferrell’s wacky HBO baseball documentary has an air date

Filmed this March at a number of different spring training facilities, Ferrell Takes The Field follows the comedian as he plays all 10 baseball positions for 10 different major league teams—one position for each team—over the course of a single day. It’s a pretty silly premise, but to expect anything less from Ferrell, who just made a fairly serious Lifetime movie, would be foolish.

Ferrell Takes The Field is a co-production of Funny Or Die and Major League Baseball, and whole thing raise both money and awareness for Cancer For College, a charity that helps cancer survivors pursue higher education.
