Yaga trailer brings mystery and a thirsty Carrie-Anne Moss to AMC+

AMC+ has released a new trailer for Yaga, Crave Original’s foggy, autumnal, and clearly very horny eight-episode mystery-thriller starring Carrie-Anne Moss as a “charismatic university professor with a taste for younger men,” putting a tawdry spin on the Baba Yaga myth that fuels the series’ scintillating intrigue. (The series is based on showrunner Kat Sandler’s 2019 stage play.) Set to Alanis Morissette’s rendition of Donovan’s “Season of the Witch,” the trailer acquaints us with Carson (Venom: The Last Dance‘s Clark Backo), a jaded detective in the small coastal town of Whittock who has a private investigator named Rapp (Schitt’s Creek’s Noa Reid) foisted on her after a local billionaire’s son (Heated Rivalry‘s Hudson Williams) goes missing. Their investigations bring them into a knotty, naughty confluence of town history, myth, and possibly dark magic, with Moss’s lectures presumably taking on a darker, more salacious, and possibly ancient bent.
