YouTube is launching its own music subscription service, because YouTube users love to pay for stuff. The service could launch as early as this December and is expected to compete with sites like Spotify and Rdio—though YouTube’s added video content could obviously make it stand out. Like its competitors, YouTube’s music service would have both free and paid tiers, with the paid tier being commercial-free. Sources also claim that the service would integrate Google’s Play Music All Access, which is owned by YouTube’s parent company, Google, lets users build personalized radio stations, and recommends tracks to users based on their likes and dislikes.
