24 reaches the penultimate hour of its day, so, 9 p.m.?
Here’s what’s up in the world of television for Monday, July 7. All times are Eastern.
TOP PICK
24: Live Another Day (Fox, 9 p.m.): Wow, this summer’s TV would have been really boring without 24 entertaining us. We’re not even watching it. Or rather, not all of us are. But it’s incredibly entertaining hearing about it all the time on Twitter, in a TV landscape that is otherwise devoid of gasp-worthy plot twists and capslocked “OMG NO”s peppering our timelines. Zack Handlen is on duty to watch tonight’s episode for you and produce real words, so that you can “OMG NO” to your heart’s content on your own. We have a feeling about this one. It is the episode right before the finale, and the official blurb casually includes the line “the world is changed forever.” And we can’t find a single promotional photo for the episode on Fox’s website, which sometimes means that someone forgot to upload them, and sometimes means that the proceedings are so intense that they can’t show them to us ahead of time. So here’s a picture of Chloe, because we like her.
ALSO NOTED
The Bachelorette (ABC, 8 p.m.): After meeting their families, Andi whittles down the remaining four bachelors to three. Which means that some guy’s family is going to be found wanting. Which is hilarious.
Dangerous Elements Starring The Unstable Elements Of Belarus (HBO, 9 p.m.): This is a very descriptive title. What else would we even say? This is an HBO special on the Belarus Free Theatre, which puts on productions even amidst political strife and protest. They sound cool! Did you know Belarus borders Latvia? We did not. We also did not know that there is a tiny piece of Russia under Lithuania. We are not particularly worldly about the Baltic states vis-a-vis the former Soviet Union.
