Jimmy Kimmel also punts interview with Texas candidate James Talarico to YouTube
Earlier this year, Stephen Colbert faced a similar issue with the same senate candidate.

For the second time in 2026, an interview with Democratic Texas Senate candidate James Talarico will be relegated to YouTube instead of a linear television broadcast over some FCC chicanery. (Well, we say “relegated,” but will likely end up attracting higher viewership than it would have on ABC.) This time, Jimmy Kimmel has announced on his Wednesday broadcast (via Variety) that his interview with Talarico will go straight to YouTube “out of consideration for our local stations, especially our ABC affiliates in Texas who would have to deal with this nonsense.”
