Adele might finally tour the U.S. in 2012
The runaway success of Adele’s 21 is the music story of the year, and the album’s popularity in the U.S. is even more incredible considering she hasn’t been able to complete an American tour in support of it yet. She canceled tours twice this year after suffering a vocal cord hemorrhage, most recently in early October. Adele might need surgery to correct the problem, which is considered treatable and shouldn’t impact her career long-term. Which is good for Adele, since concert demand is still high for 2011’s best-selling artist, and it’s expected that she will play arenas next year.
