The Venture Bros. and Moral Orel collide in this exclusive clip from Robot Chicken special

Co-created by Seth Green and Matthew Senreich, Robot Chicken‘s special airs to mark Adult Swim’s 25-year-anniversary. No wonder the event features voice actors like Green, Senreich, Chris Elliot, Emily Pendergast, Eric Andre, Katee Sackhoff, Joe Pera, Patrick Warburton, Rob Corddry, Gary Gole, Mike Tyson, and Tim Heidecker, among many others. But what are all of them doing, exactly?

Based on this The A.V. Club exclusive clip from the special, The Venture Bros. Gary and 24 are lounging around. Actually, they’re fanboy-ing out over Tyler, the Creator (and the whole cast of Loiter Squad!) and Jon Glaser before 24 points out that he’s more of a purist (“Adult Swim is for live cartoons” and not live-action, he claims). They’re both interrupted by Brock, whose own relaxing time is further interrupted by the robe-clad Moral Orel‘s Clay Puppington. Clearly, this special is about to feature a lot of these characters tripping over each other for our amusement (and nostalgia).

This retrospective episode also features Harvey Birdman, Attorney At Law, who—according to the synopsis—”represents the only hope that the culprit who turned the festive floating party into a disaster of titanic proportions will ever face justice!” Robot Chicken will air on August 30 at midnight ET on Adult Swim, with the special streaming on HBO Max the next day.
