HBO's Aegon's Conquest movie still a thing, has a new release date

As Paramount Skydance’s kraken-like tendrils pull Warner Bros. ever closer to its premature meeting with the Drowned God, Deadline reports a new release date for the studio’s big Game Of Thrones feature film. Game Of Thrones: Aegon’s Conquest, which will detail how Aegon I Targaryen came to rule the Seven Kingdoms (big news for GOT fans who skipped George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood), now has a release date of June 1, 2029. June is a notably summery date for the film, perhaps evoking the summery red sun of Dorne, the one kingdom that defied Aegon throughout his conquest, despite, y’know, Aegon riding atop a big-ass dragon named Balerion The Black Dread and having two dragon-riding sisters raining fire and blood all over the place.
